Type a value into the right cell

A spreadsheet is a grid of boxes called cells. Every cell has an address made of two parts: the letter of its column and the number of its row. The cell in column B, row 2 is called B2. Nothing else about Excel makes sense until that is automatic.
To put something in a cell, click it once so it has a border around it, type, then press Enter. Pressing Enter is what commits the value, until you do, the cell is only holding a draft.
The stock list is missing a quantity. In cell B3, type 12 and press Enter.
